Last week Dish Network changed most N3 encrypted channels back to in the clear, unencrypted status, fooling owners of non-IKS solutions that a standalone fix existed or that Nagravision 3 had been cracked and defeated. It was simply the case of them dropping N3 off and then additing it back. Even though this truley only lasted a day with many channels open, they left other channels open until finally getting things back to the way they were before the screw up. IKS systems had to contend with the changes and most have fully recovered. Owners of Coolsat, Pansat, Viewsat and other boxes that have no fix for N3 were very much confused thinking they had TV back or that progress had been made. Nothing could be further from the truth. There are still no standalone working solutions for N3 encrypted Echostar providers Bev or DN.
