Default IKS for Coolsat provided by R-Link

I posted this a while back but there were no files to back up this news but today new files have been released for CS 5000&6000.

No other receivers are supported at this time.

Channels

Our "Start up Channel List" will be available before sales starts. This List will have multiple providers. The list will grow till we get all we can from both. We will have a thread asking members what channels they will like and we will do our best to fill in demand order. So what you want is important to us.

Default Help

I have a coolsat 5000 and ordered and purchased the R-Link at the site that you recomended. It came with no instructions. Then whent to a posting
"R-Link Coolsat 5000 Dongle Fix Dec.11.2009 " Where it stats:
Please do Factory reset on unit before loading new file.
?what "Unit"
Load file with Coolsat loader as you have done it the past.
? what "File"
Set up and scan as you have done in past
? not sure what you mean by this
Some people may know what you mean by some of this but some of us don't quite understand it.
Also on the page "R-Link Loader How To Do" you mention at the end of instructions about hooking up ethernet cable = what cable is that it didn't come with the R-Link and hook it to what?
I understand that ya'll are doing your best to help us but some of us don't understand all the things that you do and need it in better layman terms .
Thank you

Default Another question

Thanks to all that have replied to my questions. Even with the eternet cable hooked to my modem do I still need the line from my dish hooked up too?
I understand that I have to load the r-link with the r-link loader but then the file"R-Link Coolsat 5000 Dongle Fix Dec.11.2009" where does it get loaded too. The coolsat unit or the r-link?
Thanks again

Yes you still need to have your dish connected. The dongle fix gets loaded into the receiver the same way you loaded standalone fixes before you went down.

What is once in awhile?Sometimes I have to do that with 2 different receivers. But if you want make sure everything is snug.Reboot router then bootup receiver and maybe try a factory default and load bin again and rescan your sats.

If green light turns red that means you are having internet connection problems, resetting the router usually fixes that problem.
