Okay so I'm very very new to FTA and I have little to no understanding of anything involving it, a buddy of mine that does contract dishnet/directtv installs reccomended it. I recently purchased a sonicview 360 elite, I also have a dish that he gave me he said either echostar 7 or echostar 8 and I was wondering what I needed to do to get it functioning properly, I got the software off of sonicviewusa and its still reading please update the latest sw or something to that effect, I can't sit in front of the tv to get all the info due to a lack of web connection at home. but any advice you could offer would be fantastic. I can post serial #'s and the like tommorrow if that would help.

Here is the link to where I got the reciever.

Not long ago in a galaxy long away the limers said limesat is where its at! Now the newies say newlink is the link of the future. I personally have a 360E goes off and on every so often but all in all works fine.
So the question of the day is what is the way to go? Limesat, newlink, bellybutton lint, cnx nano 2?
I was thinking of having all of them hooked up in a row and when one goes down flip the switch to the next one. Maybe someone could make all those recievers into one.
Well anyway what does everyone else think?
Iam bizzing in my mind

I have a motorhome and not be without tv a thought occurred but have no idea Where to begin. Using the air card in on of the usb ports and obtaining a connection with the internet. With the network cable rs45 to the port on the laptop and using someone's A/V software, would it work??? but since I have not read any info of tv to pc I am lost. Also would you need a serial connection , don,t have on but since the system in all interconnected on the laptop the worst I might need is to get someone to write a program.
Oh Well just a thought, by the way I am trying to figure this out using the new Newsat iS9000 Plus.
Interested in all opinion

I have a Airlink Golden 300N wireless USB adapter. Is it possible to use a USB female to ethernet male adaptor to connect the wireless adapter to the I-Hub and go wireless instead of the 50 foot ethernet cable I am currently using? I know everything will hook up ok but will it work electronically? The wireless adapter runs on +5 VDC but I am not sure what the I-Hub outputs. Or is there another way to go wireless?
Thanks a million,
