I am not very familiar with the Internet Sharing Keys thing. I wanted to know what the risks are to my Viewsat Max system? Is there a internet site with information? And can "Big Bro" trace my piracy thru the net? By the way I am in the U.S.A..

There are various opinions on IKS safe or not.There are ways to hide your IP.Use a IP hider or use a proxy.IP hider works the best.Viewsat receivers cannot run IKS.Sorry there is no setup for it.


Yes big bro can catch you but that would take allot of time and money.They are not worried about small amounts of bandwidth being used and IKS uses very little.

I'm here in Luquillo, PR. and I have a Captive Works ULTIMA, only guaranteed channel I get is 100, other very few Channels freeze up after a few minutes. Reading all these messages it looks like I picked the correct group to join, you guys know everything. Unfortunately my experience with computers has been in Excel, Word and Accounting packages, so my kowledge is VERY limited. I'm searching the web trying to educate myself. I do have a desktop Dell, and a HP lap top. DELL is connect to Liberty Cablevision for internet and telephone only, yes I delieve I have a router. Dell is in bedroom TV is in living room, if I choose to go IKS would I need a wireless router connection for my laptop and connect the laptop to internet and TV. I may just wait till you guys have cracked the code and then download the patch.

Being that you have CW Ultima and CW not having a hub right now you would be looking at spending a few hundred bucks to get tv again. IKS is working as of right now but how long that will last we don't know and it's traceable not nearly as safe as stand alone fta testing. I would wait a little longer and see what happens with stand alone receivers such as yours. To answer you second question if you would like to start a new thread on top of your screen in the left corner there is a red button New Thread click on that and you are good to go.
