There are all kinds of rumours floating around the web, and there are no N3 fixes out yet. No matter what you read N3 has no fix yet. I say yet, because I have not given up yet and still have faith in Viewsat as they may still come through with a standalone fix. If N3 turns out to be unhackable, then IKS will be it and we will just have to wait and see what comes next.

Telefonica DTH in Brasil moving from N2 to N3 in the following months. Maybe related to the fact that Amazonas 2 bird will be launched next week and will be operating by November and will have a broader more powerfull footprint than Amazonas 1.

"Telefonica has decided and informed FCC about subscription access cards for it's DTH TV system. This means that this service provider should start in the following months a card swaping process with subscribers in order to provide them with a card for unhackable access. The company is already transmitting in simulcript which means they are using 2 encrypted access systems simutaneously, which will be used until card swap is complete. This will be a gradual process in progressive stages linked to programming layers, due to the complex process of importing the transmission devices as well as customer support and orientation."

As more companies move to Nagra 3, I am starting to wonder if N3 is in fact bullet proof. Big companies will not move in N3 direction unless they are sure it's worth the $$$ investment. I know in the past they have bet on N1 and N2 and lost, but this time N3 has been present in Europe for quite a while and some months in America, so they've had enough time to review the process.

It is rumored that someone put a fix for Viewsat on the net. This was posted on many forums that the release date for the fix is today (September 17) BEWARE OF those fixes for they are burning and leaving Viewsat's receivers USELESS. People are downloading the fixes from public host rapid share and bit torrent. Please do not download these files, as they are not true fixes.

Warning to Captive Works owners Fake Captive Works N3 Files
CW files appearing at the same places/sites that have the VS files posted..Beware as these did not come from the CW Team and may cause harmful damage to your receivers..You have to register and pay for those downloads, and they are rapidshare files and are not true fixes.

Some ask about subscribing, we have a lot of members that do this and that have always subscribed for a back up during downtime. It's not a bad ideal to pay for a small package and go IKS for other channels. If what you are watching is on your sub'ed receiver, then watch it on that one and turn off your IKS. Only run IKS if your in front of your tv and watching it, all other times one should make sure your receiver is cut off from switch on back of receiver. This is just my 2 cents and we will just have to wait and see what is going to happen with N3.

if viewsat does close out. if possable can get support, maybe change name of company and get some new units. if not make something like 4dtv for big c band. my units will get c band but can't move dish with unit

my directv sources tell me that a card system such as dn has now can not be hacked

Everything can be hacked just may take a little longer

DTV uses different encryption then DN. It is true that DTV never got hacked since thy changed the encryption.DN can be cracked if somebody offers enough $$$.

Does anyone know when or if a Fix is coming out? Because I am about to call dish-network or someone my Wife says its been long enough and to throw by Box away ? I hate to do that, they don't pay for my air space, just like China doesn't pay for all the Air they dirty !! They leave it for the rest of us to clean up, alot like Bush did Obama .

No one knows when or if fixes are coming.Before I get stuck in the paying for programing rut I would go fta or buy a nFusion or KBox best receivers running.IKS may the only future for free programing.
