I have added a second bev dish on my house and I have managed to pick up the echostar 8 satellite (110) and everything is going good so far, I also have a bev dish which is still set to nimiq so my question is now that I have hooked both satelittes to the switch bev cable is hooked to LNB1 and the echostar cable is hooked to LNB2. Now I need to know what all changes I have to make to my nfusion phoenix receiver to be able to get all the channels from both satellites. Can anyone advise me what to do next. Please

mustang let me ask you a few questions, you say you have added a second dish, is this dish a single lnb dish or does it have two lnbs on it. You say on your other dish you have nimiq is that a 1 or 2 head dish, do you have 82 and 91 on it, because It sounds like you have two dishes up with one head/lnb on each on, let me know. If it is this way, if you have two dishes up with one lnb on each dish and you have 110 on one dish and lets say 91 on the other dish, then you need to run short cable from 91 dish and short cable from 110 dish to a disq. switch that should of come with your receiver, put 110 on port 1 and 91 on port 2 on switch. Then run long cable from receiver to out area on switch. When you go into set up remember your ports because you will need to set them in your set up. If your set up is different, and has more than 2 birds let me know and I'll help you out more. Also, remember to have receiver cut off from switch on back while hooking up coax cables and when finished then cut receiver on, as this could fry your switch. Quote:

I have two seperate dishes that have only one LNB on each dish. I have the first dish set to nimiq 91 satellite and then second dish is set to echostar 8 110 satellite. I then ran cables from each dish to the viewsac sw-41 4 in 1 diseqc switch that came with my nfusion and attached the cable from nimiq to LNB1 and the cable from the echostar alligned dish to LNB2. Then I ran a cable from the switch that goes to the receiver. I just need to know what all I have to change in order for my reciever to be able to get all the channels. By the way thanks for helping me.

mustang your very welcome and lets try this, when you go into set up or installation on your receiver you need to set your lnb type which should be single, you need to set your port settings(diseqc) it may say port 1,port 2 and and so on, you would treat it like the lnb 1,lnb 2 make sure when on 91 settings that your port is set to match what is outside. In short, put on 110 bird, set lnb single, tp will be 12224, go to diseqc and start with port 1 and look for S & Q to peak and you should see that bird show up outside the box, like up in top right hand corner. When you know your on the right port by your outside sittings, do your scan on that bird when finish and you see about 400 or so channels, then hit save. Then go back into to settings/installation again and set up 91 bird, after you locate it, set your lnb single and then your port for it, just keep changing from port 1, to port 2 , port 3 or port 4 until it shows up S & Q and you see 91 outside the box at top, then scan for your channels on there, which is around maybe 600. Then hit save. Some of those nfusion give you the option to let them set up for you and they will even find your ports for you as well and then do your scan, I know nfusion hd does. Let me know if your up and running Extra settings in case you need these: NFusion - Simple settings for IKS Internet Key Sharing to Work For IKS internet key sharing to work In user settings turn Emulator to OFF In internet turn Network settings to ON Auto update check ON or OFF Proxy setting OFF Network information DHCP/Static set to DHCP, Turn switch at back off unit OFF Connect to internet ,Turn back ON you should see ip addresses in Network information Sit back and enjoy Quote:

well I have done the settings but I think something must be wrong I am scanning the echostar satellite and it looks like I have good signal strength and quality and I am able to see the channels #'s but I am not able to see anything on those channels, Is there a way to verify I am actually locked onto the right satellite? Is there something I need to do that I haven't done ?

K well I guess that means that I am not locked unto the 110 echostar like I thought. If i go to the antenna setting and set the satellite to echostar 110 it shows 91 w nimiq in a box outside the antenna setting box. although I have a 77%s and 87%Q does those settings mean its for the nimiq satellite and not the echostar?

ok so then go and change that 110 to 91 nimiq then you shoujld be good unless you have that disqec thing on the wrong port or maybe change that setting around you could have ur wires messed up but try what i said first change to sat 91

I went and changed the satellite to 91.0w nimiq1 KU but it doesn't show echostar in the box on the right just the nimiq satellite and I double checked the cables and I have entered the LNB #'s on the switch correctly in the settings, i have also completed some sort of update and now its trying to update my epg but only gets to 49% and stops, any idea whats going on now ?
