Il'm ooking to go FTA, I have a old Satellite still mounted to the house from when I had DTV. Can this be used as the satellite dish if so what else do I need to purchase.

which fta are you looking to get true fta? or dn?
some of the lnbs will work to get some dn but a lot of hassle,you mighht be able to use the pan and just buy a lnb
I would pick up a dish 500 for 110/119
To get any dn programming you need to be hooked to the internet to receiver any tv

Guess I'm looking for dn, I have internet at home. So I would pick up a new dish (500 PLUS 119/110/118.7 + DPP33 SWITCH). Do I need the switch?

Also what would the best reciever be and is there anything else I need?

It all depends on your lnb/s on your dish.If it has 1 lnb it should be good for 1 sat.You would want to upgrade to a better dish with at least 2 lnb's or a dual for sats 110 and 119 and another dish for sat 91 depending on the receiver you will need or want.

Now for the receiver if don't have 1.You want to buy a receiver that is internet ready for IKS.So your receiver can connect to the internet which is the only thing working at this time.The receivers below seem to be at the top.

If you are only running one receiver you can just use a diseq switch If you are planning on running more receivers in the future you can get a dp switch then Get a good quality diseq, chieta wsd-2041 oe emp centauri
