i got me a dongle a week or so ago. what i dont understand is all the talk about a certain box hacking N3 without IKS and the others becoming door stops. does that mean only that box will be able to support N3 and the others will give up? say nfusion hacks n3 first, will sonicview and the rest just give up?

We cannot say for sure if N3 is cracked. There is no box running that can get N3 cnls without IKS.Plastic will be or should be the first to hack N3 and then it will filter out to the rest. That is if it gets cracked.

xxchopsxx I think at this point and time, no one really knows what the outcome will be. By all means we do know IKS/Ihub/Dongle will be around, but, what we don't know is if the other receivers will make a come back and that is what we all hope for because that is what the majority of us have. I do not think sonicview or even viewsat will just give up and throw in the towel, it may be that some of the older receivers will not be able to run with N3 but even that I'm not sure of at this time. I do feel that before anyone jumps the gun and runs out and starts buying new receivers, that they should hold off just for a short period of time and see what the outcome is going to be. Just my 2 cents ![]() Quote:

ohhh i understand now. i know the sv4000 is no longer supported and i doubt it will ever run n3 so im crossing my fingers for sv8000hd and nfusion! i have the sv800hd with the ihub and have a few movie channels back. just waiting on the adult channels and the lost HD/echostar 5 channels to come back or switch to ciel II lol

SV 4000 is still supported as are all SV models, even the very first model SV 1000 which is pretty much the same thing as 4000 without USB. SV 1000/1000PVR & 4000 have been discontinued and i am not sure if they will have support once N3 switch is completed but i wouldn't give up on SV 4000 just yet. Sonicview made a name for them selfs by providing good support for all of their receivers and they won't give up easily. But then again they never had to write codes for N3 so we will see what happens.
