Default NFusion Solaris

Bought new Solaris for use in motorhome. S/W Version R3X 1.30 already in box. Downloaded newest Bin File: V1.50.3 dated Feb 23/09.

Downloaded BEV channels and Dish channels. Can see menu fine, channels are there but continue to get the " No Service" flashing error. Step by step instructions for previous Bin Files and Loaders were helpful.

Have Not connected to internet yet but can if I move motorhome a couple miles. Reading posted comments for solution and appears this is a constant connection box and I may have assumed wrongly that I could use it for a mobile application.

Anyone with ideas to workaround this or should I give it away to a fixed residence friend. I can get internet connection most days but not 24/7.

Prefer to have a box that works with N3 roadblock. And wish this thing had USB upgrade similar to the SonicView 4000 I also just gave away to a Dish friend.

Bernie

Default Oh Boy, That's Awful News

Sorry to hear this news. Having the NFusion receive tied to an umbilical Ethernet cable at home is easy, harder on the road travelling about. Sure wish retailers of this box would say that before buying. Caveat Emptor??

Thanks for the advice.

Anybody else out there using this receiver for a semi mobile application? Working?

Wireless router would pretty much be your only option. It's a very nice receiver you bought, it's not such bad thing to have an IKS receiver. In few months they might be only fta receivers working.

Retailers advertise that they sell FTA receivers and when you got yours thats what you got a true FTA receiver. If you,me or anyone else purchased one for another reason then that is a choice we made.Unfortunately right now I hate to say some members are regretting that choice.
