Still showing "no service available"

I am connecting directly internet line from modem to receiver. Mi internet line work with the computer. I don't understand why does not with receiver.

I tried every thing you recommended but I am not able to get any programming.

Should I tried something else??

Receiver is brand new and I don't believe anything wrong with it.

I had similar problem with my HD receiver. It takes a long time for it to get the internet. I waited probably 20min. I left it on channel 100 and then tried changing channels and eventually it worked. Also, if you see the lights flashing on the back of the receiver where you plugged in the Cat 5 cable (ethernet cable) usually that means it's an indication that your receiver in getting info. Dunno if that helps you but maybe give it a try.

Is this the first time you tried running IKS.If so it could be a setting in your pc's network connection not letting receiver to connect. If this is the problem it will still show ip's in the receiver menu but will not work until pc network connections are set correctly.

I left it on on channel 100, no results. I am not using a router yet, my connection goes directly from modem to receiver, but I am not getting any programing at all. I am just wondering if I should try a router
