How to set-up your nfusion solaris step by step
Once you have successfully loaded the latest Solaris software version, continue with the following…… (This will vary somewhat per installation). Note: Make sure Receiver is Powered OFF, using rear power switch when connecting or disconnecting Coax Cables!!
1. Press “Menu” button on remote to access main menu options.
2. Select “Installation” option.
3. Select “Antenna Setting” option.
4. Now highlight the row that says “Satellite” and press “OK” button on remote. This will now display a list of satellites.
5. SATELLITE:Find the satellite your dish is pointed at (ie; 119w or 110w, etc.) then highlight it and press “OK” button on remote.
6. LNB TYPE: (LNB: Round thing that sticks out in front of the dish)
If your dish has one single LNB mounted on it, select “Standard”.
If your dish has two single LNBs mounted on it, select “Standard” (you’ll later need to determine switching options that are used ie; Diseqc, etc.)
If your dish has a “twin head” Dish500, with two output ports, (for 119w) select “Legacy Twin Lnb 1”……(for 110w) select “Legacy Twin Lnb 2”
If your dish has a “twin head” Dish500, with four output ports, (for 119w) select “Legacy Quad Lnb 1”……(for 110w) select “Legacy Quad Lnb 2”
7. LO Freq: Should be set at 11250 for 110w, 119w, 129w, 61.5w, 91w, 82w, for example.
8. (Switching Options):
22KHz-
Diseqc 1.0-
Diseqc 1.1-
Multi-Dish Switch
All the above switching options depend on what you are using in your setup. For Example: If you had a dish with two single LNBs on it, one pointed at 110w and one pointed at 119w and were using a standard 4x1 Diseqc switch, you would have one coax cable run from each LNB to the diseqc switch. Then from the output of the Diseqc switch to your receiver.
Now, in your Diseqc options you would select Port 1 for 119w and when setting up the 110w satellite, you select Port 2 for the 110w. (or select whichever port you attached the corresponding LNB coax to on the switch). This same idea is used when using multiple dishes with your setup. If you have one dish pointed at 91w and a second dish pointed at 110w and a third dish pointed at 119w for example, you would attach a coax cable from each dish to a port on the switch. Then when you go to the antenna settings you would select the corresponding port with the satellite you are wanting to obtain.
9. Lock TP:
This is used to check the signal Strength and Quality for individual Transponders. Each Transponder outputs a group of channels. (Example: (18/25)12472H 20000 may include TLC, Discovery, Speed, WE, Bravo, HBO, and local channels). With good strength/quality on any given TP you will receive that group of channels.
10. Motor Settings:
This option will remain off unless you are using a motor.
11. LNB Power:
In most cases this will be “On”. In some instances users may need to use the
additional power options. 13volt & 18volt options can be used to Increase
power for multi-switching options etc….
12. Search Channels:
When all settings are completed, highlight the “Search Channels” and select
“OK” on the remote to begin the channel scanning process.
Other Options: Once channels are scanned for each satellite, Enter the “Main
Menu” options and customize your local time, city, state, channel locking options etc. etc. By Default, the Password is: 0-0-0-0 (four zero’s) to enter locked menu options.
