Post NFusion with XP Media Center

NFusion with XP Media Center
"If interested, tips on using NFUsion with XP media center"works like a charm"

1. Connect receiver digital out to computer TV-tuner(must have)
2. Configure media center to detect receiver signal, should be no problem.
3. Configure XP remote control to your receiver, (make sure IR receiver is connected).
4. Once your remote control is setup, computer updates guide(computer should be connected to internet) in the providers channel guide "i.e. BEV, SC" .
5. Before going to the next step, make sure your computer xp guide channel listing matches your receiver listing (i.e. my channel on my receiver right now if I want to view a channel is a 4 digit no., for Space Channel 627 BEV guide, mine is 1627.) I dont know why, maybe next time "we" can figure it out.
6. With this setup, you can use your computer and XP media remote control capabilities i.e. record, view guide (since the guide is downloaded from the provider it is already group by your favorite i.e. Movies, Kid, Special etc) beauty is Media center also can upload the guide every now and then without worrying about whats next day update. I believe it can view at least 14 days. Perfect for channels where you want to record series (i.e Smallville,CSI ) on a specific channel and specific time.
7. Record options are 1. Record continuously 2. Record on a particular time only 3. Record Series, you dont need to worry about missing the show even when your on vacation as this will record all series you cannot view on that time. What I like the most is it record based on the title you choose not by the time you want.
