Default Need advice on motherboard choice

Hello everyone, I bought a bunch of equipment to put together a new PC, and of course naturally half of it didn't work. I returned most of it and got good hardware in return. I know this because it works with the slower processor that I had bought an 800 MHz dual core. The quad core processor freezes minutes after boot. It actually will freeze while in bios if I stay in the setup utility for too long I have narrowed it down to the TigerDirect purchased motherboard being defective. I need a new motherboard for the following hardware, I have an Intel core two quad Q6700 processor, I also have a Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT PCI express x16 video card with 512 MB of DDR2 onboard RAM, the Ram on the motherboard I have is a 2 GB strip of DDR 2 667 MHz. The motherboard is a ECS P4M900T-M2 which is supposed to support this processor. Apparently it doesn't know that it is supposed to support this processor because it is very unstable and useless. Does anyone have any experience with this particular hardware and any good suggestions on which motherboard I should choose for best performance and overall stability. Thank you for any and all suggestions, Scott.

Default Great recomendation! Ron.

Ichecked around and nothing but good (unless DOA China sucks) feedback on that board. Ebay has a used one I'm trying to get for $65 he asks $100, I hate buying used but Newegg wants $189 and (as everything from china) it will be a 50% chance of DOA. At least with used from an honest source it's a proven board. But bottom line, Ron, Thanks dude great suggestion and quick too. Scott

Asus is the only motherboard i use. They give you 3 year warranty and they are the best motherboards out there as far i am concerned.
