The Signal and Quality are both at 98 and the line being used now is the same one used on my Sonicview 8000 which works fine. I am really baffled, haven't seen this before. I even set up a Temporary Dish 500 on Tripod and ran a new line straight to receiver for just one Sat and still the same. We just tried using the Disq switch, put 119 on port1, 110 on port 2, and when you check signal on rec. port 1 shows 76 Signal and no Quality, Port 2 shows S98 / Q98. Now no matter what sat you put in on in the list, it keeps saying 110 sat up in top box. No matter if you scan both 119 and 110, only 110 is showing up in guide and when we had 119 channels showing up, it would not lock on. Weird Huh? I dont have a clue.

Take a look at this link, this might help you guys out. If it doesn't work i would return the receiver and ask to get it fixed or replaced with a new one.
Here is the link

It could be that the sat file is messed up, the best is to to load the factory file than setup all the settings and do a scan, than load the fix.

How old is the receiver? If it is brand new and he got a option to return or exchange it maybe he should get the nFusion for the same price and he will have something to work with once N3 is here.

OK I am going to try that right now. Thanks for the help, and one more question. As far as the memory stick is concerned, when downloading the factory reset fix, should the stick be clear of anything else?

Yes, it is recommended but it will work even if there is other files present.

Alright, thanks for all the help guys but I believe this one is a dead issue now, dead rec. that is. We couldnt even load the usb stick. It wouldnt read it in the front or rear. It would say detecting device and just go back to start over. We did factory reset and scanned a few times, powered off, unplugged, and still we couldnt get rid of the fix.file. Every time it reset the original fix file was still in memory, and the same channels are still doing the same thing. I suggested that he just send it back, and as you guys suggested, try a different receiver. The nFusion, is that the name or is it the model name under a brand?

Any model will work just fine, the only difference is more $ more options.

Ps. We will keep trying to get your sonicview going in case it can not be exchanged.
