I just got my svelite and ihub last Thrusday, like everyone else it did work or atleast I thought it didn't work. I think the problem is not in the setup, its in the testing and knowing if its working or not. The directions were easy to follow so way didn't it work. I think that it has been working and we didn't know it. So, if your able to get the 100 range (I'm talking DN range) numbers. The signal is strong in the 327-333, TMC channel but you have no picture. This should help. 0. Disconnect all usb devices then turn on receiver. updated 6/22/09 1. make sure the web site is running, most of our problem is that we didn't check to see if it was or we didn't know. 2. goto the Domain = sv******.com ( Not always true, ihub works when this is down) updated 6/22/09 3. if you get error then the site is down. You have to wait ( Try it anyway) updated 6/22/09 4. if you get the forum***** then the site is up. You can proceed. Trick number 1 5. if your receiver is on goto the TMC channel and make sure you have a signal. If you have picture then your iHub is working. if not the proceed 6. you get the normal channels but no TMC and have strong signal. Do a Hard Reboot, turn the receiver off at the back and then back ON. Trick number 2 7. after it comes on and you got good signal, WAIT atleast 20 sec. Trick number 3 ( sometimes wait 90 sec ) updated 6/22/09 some of the problem comes from NOT WAITING, it took up to 20 sec for the channel to come in. each channel takes alittle more time than the normal channels. If you get the TMC channel, your iHub is working. 8. if the channel goes out, and the site is up. Then do a hard reboot and wait. 9. they are testing the ihub, so the site goes up and down. We have to be patient. If your still not sure that you have iHub working, then 1. You have the TMC channel picture.Unplug the ethernet cable to the iHub, you should loose the picture. 2. To get it back, plug the cable back in and do a hard reboot and wait. If this didn't work for you then maybe its your router, when I first started I thought it was my router (link**) so I bought a Dlink EBR-2310. I just found out something NEW. I was re-scanning channels and then my iHUB stopped working. I tried hard reboot but still no channels. I unplugged all usb devices and did a hard reboot.....it worked. Ihub running again. That was what I did and now I'm happy that I don't have a expensive door stop. Leave a reply if this helped or pass it along. Last edited by ryansaki; 06-22-2009 at 10:03 AM. |
