You do have a board installed without it your receiver will not pick up any HD channels. Not to many channels are available in HD and the ones that do work freeze constantly and are pretty much unwatchable. I tried watching boxing on HBO HD the other weekend and went back to HBO SD because HD was freezing every few minutes.Have to wait for SV coders to come up with a better solution for HD channels.

thanks fo the info.... I will buy the board. I saw 2 differrent, one is the A-1model 8pks adapter and the sonicview A1 8pks v2.0. what's the one I need

thanks for the link. I saw the pics on it and I openen the box up to check it. the box had the board disconected, I scaned the HD channels but I think those are down. Is anyone have hd channels up in sv8000

Did you go back to the menu see if the 8psk board was detected.Sv has allot of cnls not working that was.

It's deteted, I scanned a lot hd channels but I can only see a few, I'm missing some sd channels too... I thought I had the wrong fix

Most of HD channels aren't working at this time, i knew you had a board installed since you had some HD channels before but like i said before we will need a better fix to watch HD channels on SV.
