Default Help

I have a hd 8000 that looks like it has gone to sleep. When power is turned on it says booting and does nothing. Another time it states no channels. Another time loading . I opened the channel master and tried to up load new firmware by serial 9 pin, but it seems it not loading to the box. USING COM 1 IT SAYS IT CONNECTED TO THE STB, Box powered off until trying to load up date..

What am I doing wrong?

The first thing you may have did wrong was doing something to your receiver before checking status here first.

Follow the instructions in the link below and let us know.

What else can I try, if anything? I got nothing. The only thing I have is 2 green lights inside the grid, top of box and a orange flickering light in front. Nothing else comes up. I held power button for about 5 mins. or so,

So is the box DOA?

Disconnect the sat cable and try the force boot again and toggle the rear switch. This has worked before.
