How to setup for motorized dish dcr 5500

This assumes you have a motorized dish and has been setup properly using the motorized setup guide.

To setup the dcr 5500 stb follow these simple instructions:
1) press menu button and select installation
2)select antenna setup and press ok
3)select the satellite you want(ie echostar 7 119.0w)
4)select lnb type (lnb-11250)
5)select positioner (diseqc 1.2) and press ok
6)this opens a positioner window look for "move" and "step move"
7)now using the step move press the v+ or v- buttons of your remote to move the satellite dish until the signal level is 90% or better.
8)remember the step move only moves the dish in small amounts so you will have to press it a number of times untill the signal is strong (90%)
9)once complete move to the "store" and press "ok"
10)now select your next satellite and repeat steps 1 thru 9 Then exit


Now scan you satellites and away you go.Now whenever you choose a channel the satellite dish will find the satellite and auto move the dish to pick up the chanel selected.
