there is a vshd sat info u012 129w updated file what is this for i just hooked this bird says load do factory de fault what will this give me

It will give you the most recent TP's/Transponders so you can receive maximum number of channels on sat 129W. Make sure to do a Factory default after loading. Remember to write your antenna settings so you can re-enter them in.

DL file, reset everything but didn't do anything...no more chan. File seems quite small and when we d/l we didn't get the blue bar on the TV saying do not power off. any suggestions. The tps stayed the same

That is okay, just do a factory default with your remote control, setup the dish settings and scan for channels.
