Which cables are you using?

Component cables will give you the best color quality and S-Video or RCA will give you a clean picture.

If you are using S-Video disconnect the yellow RCA cable and let us know if that helped.

Unfortunately is not working.
I have two sets of RCA outlets and only one S-Video in video1.
Is there any hope? changing to Viewsat9000HD as a last resort?

I recently bought a new LCD 1080p and even when using RCA cables picture is still way better then on my old tv which wasn't HD tv. And using HDMI cable picture is just unbelievable but i don't think your problem is the cables you are using and buying HD Fta receiver will not make it better. I think you need to play with your picture settings a bit until you find the right combination. It's possible you got a lemon too, buddy of mine bought the exact same tv as me and he isn't happy with his picture either. If you can't get it to work the way it should take it back and get a new one or a different brand. I did a lot of research on HD tv's and i would always prefer LCD over Plasma it gives you a nicer brighter picture but that's just my personal opinion.

Thanks.
I have hooked up cable( I still have basic cable) and picture on digital channels is perfect.
So, I'm assuming that my VS Extreme box is not up to par with TV. Would you agree with my statement?
