new user with a viewsat max HD (w/ SK200 8PSK installed). with DN installed 26 inch satelite dish and LNB. Loaded latest BIN (PFTAHDMSW-090319HM), connected to TV with HDMI. Local time set correctly with EVP on. Set satellite to 110, 119 and 121, then auto scan picked up about 100 channels. my questions, 1) out of 100 channels, only about 40 channels have signals (audio & video), is it normal? Did I do sth. incorrectly? 2) select channel guide, "no information" displayed for almost all the chnnels. Any suggestions? 3) other than the 5 local HD channels, no other HD channels found from the auto sacn. is it normal? After digging some of the threads, seems to be N3 related. is there any solutions for viewsat max HD? 4) for non-HD channels, no ESPN, discovery, cartoon, news channels found from the auto sacn. Is this normal? Did I do sth. incorrectly? 5) any other satellites have channels available? Too many questions already. Thanks in advance. |

dish network 1000 with dp-plus digital LNBF (A21201-WA0703). installed by DN technician with HD package. Default settings in STB. I am not sure if it is the info you are asking for. If not, where do I find my satellite settings? Do I need connect my DN receiver back to find it out? Thanks. |

tried all the recommended methods several times yesterday and today. The good thing is I can get 400+ channels after the auto scan, see some channel guide info, but still "no video or audio" for most of the channels. For some reason, the LNB type need be universal, otherwise, almost no channels could be locked by auto scan. The dish installation should be good. It is installed by the DN tech, I can see full channels with my DN HD receiver now. From this morning, no channels could be locked with EchoStar 9. Is it common? Thanks. |
