I have searched the site , and found nothing. I have a "legit" DN reciever. Subed. How can I use my Vs Pro as THE reciever? So that I may use the recording capilbilities of vs? thanx ,weeb

weeb I have looked and I just can not find anything that would allow you to hook your VS Pro up in place of your sub'ed receiver from dN. I'm sure that receiver has a card in it and it is married to the receiver it is in and even if it wasn't the fta receivers are not ment for that type of thing. I will flag this for one of the boss's to look at and see if they know something more to add, but right now that is all I can give you. I'll do a little more reading and see what else I can find out

weeb your welcome, have you even tried testing it and seeing if you could swap them out, do not think it would work, but the only thing I could think of would be if you cleaned the receiver putting it back to factory and no third party anything on it, set up your birds on it 110/119 and took card out of your sub receiver and put it in card slot in viewsat pro receiver and see if it accepts it. Not sure if it would or not, but you could do some testing and see I did flag this message for the boss's and they should be on here some time today to reply and tell you for sure

Sorry weeb you are looking to card share your sub with VS Pro receiver and that will not work. The only that would in your case would be get slinger and you have a friend or neighbor that is subbing you could watch all the channels that is paying for. Card sharing basically the same way IKS receivers are running right now but more reliable no freezing as you are not connected to the server.
