No you can not use the WF for viewsat Platinum..

the only boxes that work with the WF is as follows:
the ultra, ultra lite, 9000HD, and the MaxHD

thx. for the info, and i did't post any ? before because i did't know how. but i being reading all the posts since long time ago.

Try this and see if it works for you and let us know.

1. Make sure server hasn't gone down, verify this 100%
2. If server is up:
1. Unplug wf, turn receiver off via switch on back and turn off your router/mode/switch/wireless bridge etc.. all connections should be shutdown for about 30 seconds.
2. Then do things in reverse turning them on, WF should be last item turned back on.
3. It is imperative that ALL wf's be updated, just because you update 1 WF does not mean they are all updated. Each one needs updated individually with the receiver it is connected to.
4. Make sure you are using the 320 file for the Ultra & Ultra Lite receivers & the 510 files for HD9000 and MaxHD.

When did the WF start supporting the MaxHD?
Did I miss the announcement?
I thought it only supported the Ultras and the HD9000.
