EVERYONE should update their receiver and Weather Forecaster with the latest files for their receiver.
flash receivers and do Serial Update.

New version of WF is DX-X00-N APP 2.00.04.

New version of software fixes an issue that causes wf's to clear memory that includes security features causing.

Fix for units already out of service is expected by Wednesday Next week. PLEASE hold on to Unit till next week.

The new files are created so that you stay connected to the server. Its sort of a update I would say. The file that is due for next week is firmware to fix Defective WF that were purchased and didn't work. New files are just to make sure your WF stays connected to the server and keeps working in other words.BTW they are working great so far.

Just received the new WF and plugged it in to my VS Max HD with all new S/W updates.
Still getting "No video or audio".
What did I miss in the set-up?

LOL.When you load new fixes it puts options in your menu you may never have seen before.
Look at this and see if it helps.Then let us know you got it working.

Go to installation => Serial Setup => Network Setup => Network setting => put your IP
-. If you use DHCP, just put the DHCP in Network setting. (Most will use DHCP)
3. Go to installation => Serial Setup => Network Setup => Network S/W upgrade => Start Upgrade.
-. Then the S/W for WF will be upgrade automatically.

Once the above is done, your stb flashed, used the serial setup to set networking settings, updated the WF via Network s/w upgrade... you are ready to test the weather feature.
To do this:
1. Go to installation => Serial Setup => Regional Weather
2. Choose Region => Pick your location or close by location
3. Move down to Get Regional Weather => Press Ok
4. Depending on your internet connection it may take up to 2 minutes to download Regional Weather Information.

just hang on to that Sv as the Team mite get there servers set up rite or expand,, what ever it is they need to do...
I'm sure within the next year they mite have the Sv's Dialed in by then,,,lol
