I would try bypassing the computer altogether and plug directly into modem and see if it's the computer that is causing the problems.

Sorry, What do you mean by serial setup? Just getting home, have a few hours to try again tonight.

Dont have a way to run direct line. there isnt a way to hook up a phone lineto wf or reciever.Havent had tv for almost a yr now, getting frustrated with this setup. Nothing like N2 used to be. Wanted to see a couple football games this yr. May list everything on ebay and wait for something to come along.

Sorry to say but I dont know jack about the dialup setup other than the instructions...

he has alot of knowledge on dialup setup for IKS.

there are other threads where he has gotten other members up and running with this same setup you are trying to use.

if you do some searching and look for them Threads it mite be alot of Help!

I know it can get very frustrating at times when you cant get ur shit to work!

If you have dialup you should not be using a modem.On dialup your phone line is connected in the back of pc at your phone line port not the lan port.Your cable from wf plugs into your lan port.


Serial setup.
1. Go to installation => Serial Setup => Network Setup => Network setting => put your IP
-. If you use DHCP, just put the DHCP in Network setting. (Most will use DHCP)
2. Go to installation => Serial Setup => Network Setup => Network S/W upgrade => Start Upgrade.
-. Then the S/W for WF will be upgrade automatically.



Plug your phone line into pc.Plug wf cable into LAN port on pc.

You may not get the sports you want anyway.There is no local cnls working for viewsat.You should get espn and the nfl network and maybe other sports networks.But you will not get every cnl.

I already have the phone line to computer and wf ethernet to ethernet port on computer. I dragged everything into the office this morning to play around with it right at the comp. It seems to communicate but bounces from aquiring to unplugged. It almost acts like it is either dial up or something not quite right in settings on comp.If i disconnect dial up the connection to wf stays at unplugged, sign on and it bounces back and fourth. IS there both a 320 and 322 file for the ultra lite? I have the 322. the only 320 I found looked like it was just for the ultra-320U not ul?

Took Awhile, lots of headaches but Thanks to ekim I am now up and running!! Thanks.
