Default Dial-up giving problems with WF

I have a viewsat ultra lite with the Wf dongle and Dial-up through Localnet. I have the ultra lite and wf working together but it is not getting a connection from internet for tv. I tried all files listed here and upgraded wf with each file. Have watched the videos and still no connection. Currently on is 624 file. STarted with the 318,320,322 files. How does the wf upgrade with new file if not getting any connection? Almost perfect quality and signal for 110,119 no audio or video. Comes down to the connection. I finally ran a ping test late last night and results were not good. No communication. ANyone know what i can try and do to figure this out with connection issue? Have a cat 5e crossover cable from computer to wf connected to reciever. Wf is good. ANy help would be greatful!

Did you try to create a bridge between your receiver LAN connection to your ISP?

I don't think the crossover method will work. You need direct access to the internet through hub\router.. etc making sure that the dial-up connection never drops....

Also dont you need to set up internet connection sharing on your computer?
Lots of times a crossover cable is needed but not always ,some computers recognize them both

Yup.

The way I do it is go into control panel>network connection>there you will see your LAN and ISP connections>hold down the Ctrl button and left click your mouse and it will highlight that connection>while still holding the Ctrl button go to the other connection and left click this should have both connections highlighted>you can let go of the Ctrl button and right click on the highlighted connection then you should see bridge connection. Some operating systems will do this with the connection wizard.

I tried the highlight thing. Got them highlighted but after right clicking it comes up with a box-delete/rename/..../properties and they are shaded out. no bridge connection shown.

Did you try this with a regular cat5 cable. In most cases the crossover cable is needed but no all.If there is no connection link possible there will be no bridge connection option.
