another member having problem connecting
Do I have to get a splitter for the ethernet input on my laptop to be able to connect the xtfa router and my main router. The steps said to disable wireless on my computer but I will need an internet connection right?
This is what I have done so far.
Installed fix, factory, and cleaner files and set up the receiver.
Plugged in the router and went to the gargoyle page and entered "password" for the password.
Downloaded the firmware and did an upgrade.
Now I could not find where the factory reset is under system.
I checked my ip address and it is 192.168.1.1 and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0
I tried to add the DNS but it said the ip was invalid.
Viewsat Ultra and the router is wireless G Router IEEE 802.iiG
You would want your xfta router connected to your main router after being setup.

he is getting stuck at this point here is his message to me
I am trying to input the satellite settings and I do all the steps as it says.
I checked: Enable rq-ssp-client box
checked: to file
changed sssp protocol to viewsat
removed the default newcamd server
imputed the information you gave me
changed the time out to 2
pressed save all
pressed rebuild config file
pressed save all
did hard reboot
and then when i checked the logviewer this is what i got.
Calibrating Delay: Done
Initializing Serial Communication: Done
Connecting to card server (URL's truncated to 48 characters for display):

in your xfta router gargoyle page under systems go to reboot... click on reboot will take about a minute... save. go to satellite wait about a minute... running should come on... click on log viewer... it should connect. if not, unplug your xfta wait a few seconds then reconnect power cord... will take about a minute and a half for it to reboot. this works for me most times.
